For your own good, read the CRA requirements carefully, and if possible ask professionals.

The CRA is not an agency you want to mess with. They are probably stricter and have more reach than the IRCC.

No, the money must have been earned whilst you were in Canada AND you have to currently be in Canada.

Pretty much, you have to have a Canadian tax record of that 5000 dollars!
It doesn't actually say anywhere that the money needed to be earned while a person was in Canada.

Hi looks like I am eligible for cerb but My 5000 minimum income was mainly earned outside of Canada. Do you know how I can proof the income outside Canada? Thanks
How long have you been in Canada? Did you declare this income on your taxes if you were in Canada or on any benefit applications?

CERB requirement:

Who are or expect to be without employment or self-employment income for at least 14 consecutive days in the initial four-week period. For subsequent benefit periods, they expect to have no employment or self-employment income.

Given that you have a job, you don't actually meet the requirement.
People who were getting on campus TA salary around 600 but lost their off-campus job. Were they eligible for CERB keep?

if they made less than $1000 in 14 days (first month they apply), and then less than $1000 in 4 weeks for each consecutive month.

One more question. Does GIC payment which we receive every month counted under our income. Or is this our savings or investment?
