I’m preparing to apply for Express Entry and would really appreciate some advice regarding potential risks in my application.
Here is a summary of my background:
- CRS Score: 524
- Language: CELPIP 8/9/9/9
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration (Canada, 2019–2023)
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (overseas, assessed by WES as a 2-year diploma, 2013–2018)
- Work Experience:
- Canada (2023–2024): 1 year of full-time skilled work experience as a Restaurant Manager (NOC compliant)
- I started working at the same company in 2022 and was promoted to manager in 2023
- Foreign (2020–2022, during COVID):
- I was a full-time university student in Canada but returned to my home country for about 1.5 years
- During that time, I worked full-time in an administrative role (daytime work + evening online classes)
- Foreign (2017–2018):
- 1.5 years of full-time work as an Early Childhood Educator
- My education and professional background are directly related, and I hold a teaching qualification
- Canada (2023–2024): 1 year of full-time skilled work experience as a Restaurant Manager (NOC compliant)
- Both of my overseas work experiences do not have tax or social insurance records. I can only provide employer reference letters, coworker affidavits, and supporting evidence (photos, work records, etc.). Would this be considered a high risk in terms of proof of work experience?
- One of my work experiences (early childhood educator) was not disclosed in my previous study/work permit applications. Could this potentially be considered misrepresentation in my PR application?
- Given my current CRS score (524), would it be safer to drop one of these work experiences and rely on Canadian experience only, or keep them and maximize points? Would retaking the language test for a higher score be a better strategy?
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
