How many weeks payroll i need to complete for cec eligibility work experience ?
tHANKS IN ADVANCE

52 weeks of full-time ( minimum of 30 hrs per week ) skilled ( skill level A,B or 0 ) in the 36 months before you apply.

How to count week hours?
Day of the month: 1st - 7th, 8th - 14th, ... ?

I worked 370 days but I did not work 52 full weeks.

I had two jobs.
both of them were started in the middle of the week and ended in the middle of the week.
both were salaried.

do not tell me I am ineligible.

It depends. The target is 1560 hours (52 weeks x 30 hours) but you cannot count more than 30 hours in any given week.

See:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/RESOURCES/manuals/op/op25A-eng.pdf section 6.3 "Full-time work"

Work experience must be acquired over a period of at least one year; work in excess of 30 hours per week over a shorter period cannot compensate for any shorter overall period of experience.

See also http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=718&t=6 "What does equal amount of part-time work experience mean?"

What do you mean by 'the middle of the week'? Wednesday?

Still not sure how does that work!?

So do I need one year of full-time job with at least 1560 hours? Nobody cares if I worked some weeks less than 30 hours or more because I can split the hours. But in total is 12 months and 1560 hours.

Or do I need 52 weeks when I work at least 30 hours/week and I can count ONLY weeks with at least 30 hours???

Thank you!

The requirement is 12 months of full time work (30hr/week) or part time equivalent.

Make sure you know you can't "borrow" hours from weeks where you worked more than 30. That is, if you worked 40 hours last week, but only 20 the week before, you can't use the extra 10 hours from last week to make the week before count as full time - it will take another part time week of at least 10 hours to end up with 1 full time week. It's the reason why my old application got rejected.

Sorry if my above reply is a little long winded and confusing, but it's late and I'm tired :) Good luck

I have a question regarding this too. Does the experience count from the date of your WP till the date your application is received by the CIC or just the date you mailed your application :( ?

I am applying under cec in jan 2014 but we get t4 slip in feb and notice of assessment from revenue aftr filling tax. So what should i do then. How i m gonna submit my t4 +notice of assessment from revenue???

But my reference letter only stated that I started working from xxx as I am still working for them. Plus I found this section in the manual:

Applicants must have 12 months of full-time, Canadian skilled work experience (or the equivalent in part-time work experience) in one or more NOC 0, A or B occupations within the 36 months preceding the date on which their application is received.

Hi all,
i had applied under cec as well , my dates ,started working on 18th june 2012 , my cec application was received on 15th july 2013 at CIO, my employment letter was dated on 25th june 2013, but my concern is during my one years experience i have 2 pay checks with 55 hours and 57 hours each , really worried about this , since i am a cook i cant reapply under cec , wandering if i should apply under alberta work experience class as well , and hold on to the nominee certificate cause its valid for 6 months incase oi get rejected because of less hours in the 2 pay stubs ,
will there be an issue if apply for awec ??? :-\ :-\ :-\
any suggestions
thanks in advance

so this means i should be good hopefully, as my application was received 27 days after i completed one year, so that can make up for the loss of hours for those 2 weeks

employment letter was dated on june 27th 2013 , but i had included pay stub till july 7th 2013,
in total i have 2100 hours over time included , although it counts for nothing ,which is a f..ing crime , my bad for not staying another week or two without submitting ,how silly , thank god awec is still there for me

If I get paid biweekly is it okay if I have a payroll with at least 60 hours?
Or do I have to count hours for every week?

its best not to submit pay stubs in your application , as its only additional info , without pay stub VO has no way to prove the exact hours you worked
