Hi everyone

I just want to share my experience.

I'm a September 2014 CEC applicant, getting AOR on February 2015.

After several months following the forum I realized the process time will take far more than expected.

So I applied through EE-CEC on October 2015, getting passport request on January 2016.

So it's almost done thanks to EE.

I just have to withdraw my old CEC application and a BOWP requested on December 2015.

I'm not saying EE is the best option for everybody but for me it worked really fine.

Hi Greg its great to finally find someone who has went through this. Few Questions

At what stage were you asked to withdraw your old CEC application ?
Did you have to disclose you had an old cec application in when you first applied?

can you please let us know if you were asked to withdraw the old CEC application during the EE process ?

Were you asked/informed at any point that why do you have two applications in process simultaneously ?

I was NOT asked to withdraw any application.

I think there are different process old CEC and EE CEC, so no reason to request the withdraw

I'm looking to withdraw my old CEC and recently BOWP applicattions soon

Nobody asked me about withdraw or why I have several applucations.

I guess CIC understand (or doesn't care) why old applicatnts can use EE

Thats great news because I think me and everybody on this forum had the idea you had to withdraw your old cec application. I know CIC call agents had told people too but as usual they know nothing.

This is great news

exactly, this is great. if i had known this earlier, i would have never waited for old app processing. (i was also informed by call center agents that old apps will be processed shortly and if both apps get finalized at the same time, there might be delays in getting the result).

at this point, i would rather pay some extra bucks and get the paper work done for 6 months processing instead of going through an endless frustrating wait >:(

Yeah, I was worried about be requested to withdraw one of the apps after read some comments here but in my case that was not happen.

Just a tip

If you are TFW with LMO/LMIA you get 600 points, that's enough

But if you apply after your WP expires you will lose it

Hi Gregor, thanks for sharing your experience. I'm also a Sep 2014 CEC applicant. And I applied under EE on 19-Dec 2015 (AOR date) after receiving an ITA under the FSW. The EE application status is Medical passed, Review In Progress, Background Check In Progress. I have some questions:

1) Police Clearance certificates: I applied with the same ones as used for old application from 2014. Though I never lived again in those countries, (only visited for a month), will CIC ask for new Police Clearance Certificates? What did you do?

2) Job Reference Letters: I have submitted employment letters with Tenor, Title, Salary, Payslips, T4, Job offers and even Performance reviews... But there are no explicit Job Duties listed.... Do you think tis could be a problem?

3) BOWP: I'm planning to apply in a few days as my PGWP expires on 14-May-2016. Which AOR letter did you use to apply PGWP - the Old CEC or the new EE application?

Thanks for your inputs.

I submitted a new Police certificate in October (issued on December 2015) because I have it but CIC just request certificates issued after you left the original country so should be OK

2) Job Reference Letters: I have submitted employment letters with Tenor, Title, Salary, Payslips, T4, Job offers and even Performance reviews... But there are no explicit Job Duties listed.... Do you think tis could be a problem?
Always is better to meet or exceed CIC requirements, I don't remember if it's requested. Worse case I hope you just been asked to submit a new document, better to have it ready asking your company ASAP for it (provide a sample or full instructions to your company)

3) BOWP: I'm planning to apply in a few days as my PGWP expires on 14-May-2016. Which AOR letter did you use to apply PGWP - the Old CEC or the new EE application?
You always should tell CIC everything about you, so I added both AOR, but I'm expecting old AOR could be more useful. I don't have a answer yet for BOWP. Best option is to explain carefully your situation in the Explanation letter
Thanks for your inputs.
You're very welcome

Hi Greg,
Congratulations.
Really appreciate you're taking time sharing this experience. I am too Sept 2014 old CEC applicant and received EE ITA on Jan 6.
Could you advise 3 questions I have:
1. Did you use the scans of same documentations on the checklist that were submitted for old CEC, to upload for EE?
2. Fopr the employment letter did you have to request another letter, different than the one submitted with old CEC in Sept 2014?
3. Do you see any risks that my BOWP (which was based on old CEC) would be revoked, if I am asked by cic to withdraw old CEC?

Thanks
nn

Most documents are the same, some different, but always you should have the original document at home just in case CIC ask for that, you can request copy of some of then (police certificates, IETLS...)

2. Fopr the employment letter did you have to request another letter, different than the one submitted with old CEC in Sept 2014?
I request new paperwork to the company , basically updating documents dates, especially job offer letter, that it's important

3. Do you see any risks that my BOWP (which was based on old CEC) would be revoked, if I am asked by cic to withdraw old CEC?
If you already got a BOWP I don't think can be revoked. If you want to apply for BOWP probably is better to NOT withdraw previous application.

No reason to withdraw it, except CIC asked for, in that case should be better to require more information.

Under new BOWP rules have EE AOR isn't enough, but having old CEC AOR I guess is OK.

Please note I don't know too much about BOWP, I applied a few weeks ago without answer yet.

Thanks
nn

I'm not sure but perhaps you don't need to submit originals documents if you already did it with other application.

But until confirm it, or even it confirmed, it's better to have all the original documents, in my opinion

Thanks Greg, much appreciated. I did ask my employer, but they do not give letters with duties. And for former employers, they're abroad and the HR contacts have changed. So they are not responding. In any case, I'll prepare what I can for as much detail.

For the PCC, I obtained after the last time I "lived" there. But I did visit again for a month - believe that should be fine? I know I'm asking too much but the mind always seeks answers! Good luck to all :-)
