Hi all,
I am in EE pool under CEC (Canadian Experience Class). I am the main applicant.
My husband has no Canadian work experience and only has foreign work experience.
To my understanding we are not getting any points for his work experience (I think one may gain points on spouse work experience only if the spouse has worked in Canada). But still we have to answer the question about his work history.
He has worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Mathematics in a University in Europe. His duties was no teaching at all, but research and publishing papers in pure Math.
I am not sure if we should use NOC 2161 or 4011 for him. I am afraid later we get trouble due to this.
My question is, which NOC is a better fit.
Also, as we don't get points from his work experience outside of Canada, will they ask for letter from is past employer and this NOC will ever become important in our application?
I appreciate any help.
