CEC or Spousal application?

Hi There!

I qualify for both CEC and the Family Sponsorship applications. My fiance is Canadian and we qualify as common law status. My question is can I still apply through the CEC route or do I have to go through the Family Sponsorship application?

The answer will depend on where are you located? If within Canada, the processing time is 20 months. CEC is much quicker. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp.

You can also file both at the same time.
