Amer88 / anyone else doing or done their upfront medicals,

So I did mine this Saturday and it went pretty smoothly and took under an hour to get my Blood/Urine sample , Chest X-ray and an additional liver test done(may or may not be required) if you have a visible tattoo (I have one so had to get it done, costs extra $12 which is not bad at all)

Does anyone know what are the next steps? The doctor advised I can fax the results to CIC. Now, I was told that since i'm doing an upfront test, CIC would NOT have the file created on their system and they created a new one for me.

Is anyone aware of the fax number for CIC PR applicants ?

Cheers

I have no idea. the clinic told me when they ask you for the medical exam, I should upload a paper they gave me. please people advise, I have done my medical exam but don't know what to do next!!

I have to ask something very important to me, I got a letter to reply of my Oct 2014 application of CEC in Feb 2014. My question is what is my permanant residence file number in that UCI number or Application Number?

Application Number is your File Number

From the CIC link

Application Number/Case Number
You will find this number, also referred to as an Application Number, on any official document issued to you from the visa office where you submitted your application. Your Application Number/Case Number starts with a letter and is followed by a combination of nine (9) numbers or letters. (Example: B000000000 or EP00000000).

Hi

One of my friend was waiting for over 13 months and did his medical upfront and also paid RPRF.

Friday he received PPR.

Hope it is moving again. :)

HI,

I just received my GCMS and there I could see an error...
I did IELTS and they added in my form as CELPIP...
What can I do to fix it since the CLB will be different between test Center.

Thanks in advance.

FEEDBACK RECEIVED FROM CPC TODAY - 06/26:

"Dear applicant,

As you have submitted a copy of your IELTS results with your application, the record in GCMS will have no effect on the assessment of your application.

The necessary changes will be made once your file has been reviewed by an officer.

Regards,"

I just got an email from CIC which reads as below -

Hello,

Thank you for your email.

Please note that there are still outstanding documents/information required regarding your change in marital status.

In order to add your spouse to your application, we require the following items:

· Processing fee and right of permanent residence fee (RPRF) for your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada at this time)

· Four (4) recent photographs of your spouse according to specifications

· If applicable, copy of your spouse’s divorce certificate if your spouse was previously married

· An original police certificate for all countries your spouse has lived for more than 6 months since the age of 18 years; (for more information, consult the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp)

In addition, you must send evidence of the relationship between you and your spouse, such as:

· Engagement photos and/or photos of outings.

Wedding photographs depicting all the rituals of a traditional wedding, including wedding reception and post wedding photographs.
Marriage certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriages.
· If your spouse is living abroad, please provide proof of your or your spouse’s visits such as airline ticket coupons, used boarding passes, complete photocopy of all pages of your spouse’s passport;

· Any other documents that you feel would demonstrate your relationship to your spouse.

Photos must be loose. Do not send them in binders, albums, frames or other such containers. Do not send video discs or video cassettes. Do not send musical greeting cards or other similar documents containing electronic or mechanical devices. Do not send calling cards.

If your spouse intends to accompany you to Canada, you must pay the processing fee of $550 CAD for your spouse’s application. This payment must be made online:
Go to this website: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en
 Read the instructions on each page, and click “Continue” to proceed
 Select the “Immigration” link, followed by “Spouse and Common-Law Partner in Canada Class”
 Enter the number of fee payments (1) in the box beside the corresponding fee.
 Click “Submit”
 Proceed to pay your fees by selecting “Pay” and then follow the instructions to pay with a credit card

Once we have received the processing fee, your spouse’s application status will be changed to an accompanying dependant.

My question is pertaining to the bolded line on this email. My wife is already here with me in Canada, do I still have to pay the $550 as application processing fee ?. I know in future I will have to pay RPRF fee for both - $490 each.

Can someone please reply and let me know the next steps. Thanks , appreciate it.

Yes if she wants to be PR as well. CIC needs to go through the same check as yours. So you need to pay the processing fee. The question is basically asking if your wife wants to be PR or not.

Yes you need to pay $550 processing fee for your spouse and send the copy of receipt to CPC-CTD-Ottawa email id.

I did the same.

RPRF fee of $490 each will come at end of process.

thanks CEC2013RAY and canadababu,

I am planning to pay both the processing and RPRF fee upfront. So $550 for her and $980 for the RPRF fee for both of us. Phew ! thts a lot of money :(
