CEC October 2014 Applicants

Hey everyone. Can someone tell me which visa office we can contact regarding our application if it has now passed the 14 month processing timeframe? Is it the CIC processing centre our application was sent to (in my case, Sydney, NS) or should we get in touch with the embassy of the country we are applying from? And if it's the former, where exactly do we find the phone number?

Like everything else to do with this process, getting a straight answer to any of this by just relying on the website seems a waste of time!

I have not applied yet. I am just collecting my documents and will be applying this week.

As far as I know you can have both the applications and they will process it simultaneously and when you get decision on anyone of them you can withdraw the other one.

I may be wrong.

Thanks for your inputs. Regarding your question on Medicals for EE - have seen a posting that in Sept/Aug thread that meds done for EE-CEC cannot be used for old CEC.

I am trying to confirm this as well. Ideally CIC should process multiple applications simultaneously, but I am afraid as soon as 2 file numbers are generated - one for EE and one for old CEC, they would ask to withdraw one immediately, and not until decision made on one application. Let me know if this happens.

Hello guys. How long does it take for open bridge work permit to be processed? On the website I only see processing times for same employer and different employer. How different is the open work permit from those ones? Thank.

Hi Guys,

Can someone please give me advise on following.

Current state:
Applied for PR under CEC on OCT 14th 2014.
According to CIC, they started working on my application on FEB 8th 2015.

I created an express entry profile just to learn a bit more about it.
Got an invite from Ontario for PNP, however after consulting them they informed that fee structure for the process is 1500 and also it doesn't mean your PNP will be approved. I remained positive about by CEC application and rejected PNP nominee.

I requested GCMS notes to know my current application stand few days ago. Also I am planning to submit upfront medical by the end of this month.

I have decided to wait till Feb end 2016 for an update. If there is non, I will start preparing my Bridging documents as my permit expires in Aug 2016.

Should I appear for PNP on side if there is no update by Feb end??? Do you guys have any other opinions?? I would also like to know which application are they working on right know, if you have an idea.

Sorry about this I never applied notes for my family since I applied for PR for myself only.
