We were paid with things like free meals, discounts and being able to pick our own shifts. We also got a higher tip out but there is no way for me to show this, and it wouldn't count even if I could. My letter does have about 75% of the duties listed under the skilled NOC. It's so hard to tell which way this is gonna go, it's been a nightmare wait. I really don't know what to expect!

Just reading the first few words of your message gave me a heart attack lol.. good that you were talking about the past. I have the same concern, my status changed to IP2 right after medical. I didn't go to IP1 at all and I am not sure why? and the same question as above, do we have some data on rejection based on NOC codes after 5 months?

Shaq I have the same pattern as yours. Direct ip2, no ip1.

Also, the usually reject applications within 3 months if there are any issues. It also makes sense, why would they hold on to applications that don't meet their requirement for long? The more the time passes, the lesser the risk of rejection. Unless it is a very extraordinary case.

I want to plan a trip outside Canada, but I am waiting for my PPR. So, I have some general questions. If anyone can answer, would really appreciate that :-)

1. After PPR, how long do they allow you to send Passport to VFS?
2. How long does it generally takes for passport to come back?
3. Once passport is back, within what time frame landing should be done?

AOR - 30 May
Med - 9 Jun
BG - 12 Oct

Thanks in advance! :-)

That makes sense and helped a bit. Thank you!

Hi guys,
I got my PR. This is my timeline:
ITA - March 26
AOR -May 08
MEP-May 14
ADR-May 14
Additional documents sent - IMM5669 - May 16
GCMS notes request- July 24
GCMS received- August 23
PR Approval letter - September 5.

I had no updates for a while, even now my online profile says eligibility is being processed and so is my background check.

My PR was approved on September 5th. My lawyer missed the email. I found out by calling cic. I asked them to update my online profile, since my lawyer misses emails, they didn't update everything, but they attached a pdf file at the bottom saying what to do next to get my PR. They also gave me another 30 days to submit my documents for PR.
After all the stress, I'm really happy to get my PR.
Wishing you all best of luck!

Congrats on your PR and glad that they extended your passport submission due. Your online status would not be changed until IRCC receives your passport copies then issues and mails the COPR to you. That happened to me. After I submitted the copy of my passport with 2 photos to IRCC, and when I received my COPR letter, then I realized that the online status has been changed to 'your application was approved'.

Hearty congrats on your receiving PPR again and hope all the best for your future life in Canada. Cheers :)
