The situation is - I need that 50 point for job offer.

I worked for employer 1 year in total and he willing to give me a written job offer.
But out of 1 year ( 8 months I worked as self employed (let’s say “dependent contractor”), other 4 I’m on payroll ).
( In a letter for example he will write that I worked a year full time ).

The question: Is that possible? As far as I know, there is no way for cic to check whether I was employee or self employed? Any ideas?

Thank you!

But I can request a ruling from CRA to determine my status, and they will say that I was an employee.

You could, but your employer could end up paying penalties for the period you were misclassified.

The question is, how cic will check that ( if they )?

How will they check what, exactly?

Your employment documentation would prove/disprove your claims. Or, you don´t provide the documentation, and you are refused for lack of documentation.

And basically, you would be asking your employer to lie to the Federal government (AKA fraud) on your behalf.

Thx for reply.

I’m just exploring options, and it seems not a good one)
