Hello,

I have one year of experience in Canada under NOC A category and have also one year of foreign skilled work experience but I don't want to include my foreign experience in EE profile as I don't have the reference letters as per cic requirements.

I am thinking to just include my Canadian work experience in EE profile and once I will get an ITA, where should I list down my foreign experience

Please note that for my foreign experience I do have reference letters but there is no job description and my employer won't give any new letter so Please guide me what to do

If you don't want to claim points for the foreign work experience, just don't include it under Work History section in your EE profile. After ITA, you will be able to add this foreign work experience under Personal History section and you will need to provide any letters for this job. Good Luck!

You mean after ITA, I can list down my experience under personal history section only and in that way I don't need to provide any letter for this job but since i wont be declaring that under employment section so will it be legit ?

I am facing this issue too, I am aware of putting job positions to personal history that I can not demonstrate, however, my concern is about a second position in a company. I mean I have a letter from one period, and there is another period that I can not demonstrate or provide evidence, I really want to avoid misrepresentation in here. any suggestions? can I leave it aside and put it in personal history?

Question relating to the above: Just seen a lawyer who said I can't claim any work experience gained during my IEC working holiday visa for my Express Entry profile or it's misrepresentation?

True or False?

But they can not raise any flag saying that I misrepresented myself? There is a section that says that i have to show all my positions, but i do not want to, just put it in personal history.

Let’s say they call my former employer, can they ask about a second position listed in my personal history? Because i do not want to

Will that be ok?

As long as it is added in the personal history section you'll be fine.

Hello,

I am applying ECE Express Entry and have a similar question as the first question in this thread, but would like clarification from people who have gone through the process :)

I have one year of canadian work experience and one year of foreign work experience. I do not want to declare the foreign work experience in my express entry profile as I do not need the points and it will be hard to get a reference letter from that job. Can I leave it out of work experience (even though it is valid work experience) and just note it in personal history? I don't want them to think I have lied about not having foreign work experience.

Thanks so much

I think you can include this in foreign work exp in the personal history, that will show that you are declaring you have worked earlier out of Canada but not claiming for it. For this you will not have to provide any work experience documentation.

Just ensure that your Canadian work experience is 1 full year and is under NOC O, A or B

Thank you so much for your reply.

My one year canadian work experience is made up of 2 different jobs, in 2 different NOC A codes (with 3 weeks unemployment gap in between). I have checked and do not think this is a problem and I should still be awarded 40 points for canadian work experience. But let me know if you think this is an issue!
Thanks!

Have you covered these 3 weeks gap?
Canadian work experience does not need to be continuous.
