Hi, I submitted PR application March 2018. I got an update in September 2018 (expected completion date) that basically said they are still working on background, application in progress. It's now going into 1 year and 2 months without any new information. Does anyone have similar experience? BTW I'm applying outside the country. Thanks in advance for any relevant response.

Apply for GCMS notes. I believe it takes roughly 25-30 days to get them. Read through it and see what is holding your application.

Hi all,

I spoke to IRCC this morning to get a general idea of how my application is progressing. They provided the following information:

- Eligibility: Recommended Passed
- Criminality: Passed
- Medical: Passed
- Security: Underway

In the event my security is quick, will my application be slowed by my Eligibility being 'Recommended Passed' and not simply passed?

actually Recommended Passed is same as eligibility is met

this wont be changed before your final decision which is the moment for ppr

Timeline update:
AOR: Feb 13, 2019
Med passed: April 5, 2019
Visa Office: Centralized Intake Office, Sydney, Nova Scotia
Background check: In progress
Eligibility: Review Required
Security: Not Started
Criminality: Passed

The lady on the phone said that they start the security after the eligibility is passed.

Also, what does "review required" mean? Someone kindly advise.

It means that they are not fully satisfied with your eligibility and are doing additional checks. Probably agent wants your documents reviewed by senior officer, etc. Did they request you to submit additional documents?

No they did not. My got my ITA before I finished 1 year work experience in Canada. However, my AOR is 10 days after I finished 1 year working. I have uploaded all the required work letters along with pay stubs and T4

Hmmm... It's hard to tell. Don't want to stress you out, but it COULD be an issue that you accepted ITA BEFORE you qualified for 1 year of CA experience... Maybe that's what they calculating, etc. Can't really tell. Maybe it's other things. Let's see what seniors in this forum say.
