Hi,

I started working in a NOC B job on March 10, 2021 and I will be able to complete my one year experience on March 10, 2022, but my PGWP expires on Feb 20, 2022. I do not know how to work for another 20 days after my PGWP expires as I will be just 20 days short of my 1 year CEC experience. Please let me know of my possible options to stay in Canada and complete my experience for CEC.
Thank you so much!

Is your employer willing to obtain an approved LMIA? If so, you can switch to a closed work permit to get the additional time you need.

No, I work for Canada Life. They will not support me in any way.

Do you happen to have a spouse who is in Canada on a study permit or work permit?

No, I am single and have no one here. I have done one 1 year post grad diploma and could not go for another one due to financial constraints and now I am just 20 days short for my CEC work experience.

I would try to find a new employer who is willing to support an LMIA so that you can change to a closed work permit. I'm not sure I see any other obvious options.

I guess one last option could be to try to get nominated by the province you are in (i.e. through a PNP program) before your PGWP expires.
