Dear Asivad and senior members
I have previous Canadian experience from Feb 2013-Feb 2015 and I managed to get reference letter from my employer back August 2015. Does CIC has a reference letter validity? I heard some refusals are due to old reference letters.
Please guide. Thanks

Not a problem as the reference letter is dated after you left that job - valid indefinitely.

Dear Asivad, I'm planning to take a reference letter from my current organization now. (I'm still in process of creating my E E profile and expect to be around the the 450 mark) . Is there a validity to this letter? I ask since there's no real clarity on when I can expect an ITA.

Valid for experience acquired as on the date mentioned on the letter. Not valid standalone for any further experience in the same company. Valid for
further experience in the same company only if supported with additional documentation that proves ongoing continuous employment (if required).

Thanks Asivad for your prompt response.

May I ask, if ITA is delayed, is the additional documentation going to be a big issue? I'm not 100% sure I may be able to get the letter in required format at a later date, hence am pushing to get it ASAP.

Dear Asivad and experts, (need your advice pls)
I have total 9 years of Experience as per below.

2007-2009- In Production & Manufacturing field NOC 2141- (1st Job)
2009-2011- In Production & Manufacturing field NOC 2141- (2nd Job)
2011-till date- HSEQ NOC 2263 (3rd job)

Firstly, I have approached my previous employer and requested for Experience certificate as per CIC requirement, they have given me certificate, however they are not as per CIC standard (no. of hrs per week and total salary not mentioned). Eventually they refused to provide me the same letter as I requested.

Secondly, my existing employer has provided me Experience certificate (5 years of service till date) with all details as per CIC requirement.

Now my questions are-
Q-1 Which NOC should I apply i.e. NOC 2141 (4 years) or 2263 (5 years) ?
Q-2 Can I show the same certifcate which I got from my employer with some missing data?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
