I am a temp foreign worker working in Quebec. I know that Quebec work experience can be counted towards CEC. However, one has to demonstrate intent to LIVE outside of quebec. The specific CEC page says "intent to live outside of Quebec". There is no mentioning of work.
My question is, can i work in say Gatineau, and intend to live in Ottawa and qualify for CEC. We have several people who live in Ottawa and work in Gatineau and they get tax returns at the end of the year because of office being in Quebec, they were taxed at a higher percentage?
If that is possible, can i simply SHOW INTENT by getting an approval letter from employer to move to Gatineau once legally allowed via CEC and then latter move to Ottawa after getting PR?
The reasons for considering this option, are no interest in learning french to the proficiency level required for CSQ needed in Quebec to apply for Quebec Selected PR.
Would really appreciate any opinions on this.
