Hello Guys,

I called CIC this morning. They said the following:
Eligibility - review required
Medical - passed
Criminality - passed
Security - on process

Visa office - Edmonton

My timeline:
AOR 26th Dec
Medical passed 08th Feb
Background - We are currently processing ..... (guessing its IP2)

Should I be worried about eligibility "review required" ? And also how is the VO Edmonton experience from past applicants? Any suggestions? Any tips? Already applied for GCMS notes. Waiting for it to receive.

Thanks in advance

same boat

As called with Agent update is

AOR 27th Dec
Eligibility - passed
Medical - passed
Criminality - passed
Security - not yet started
Visa office - Edmonton
Background - IP2

Dont get confused on your review required it can be another round of review. Also i have question is for my Security was not started, Can any one answer how much time it will take for Security to pass?

I called again, but this time I couldn't get any information. The agent was pretty much repeating what's on my online status. She didn't confirm if passed or not for any category. Let's wait.

Nothing...:( What about you?

Nothing yet. Maybe this week or the next week we should hear something? By 26th April.

I guess if I hear nothing until 1st week of May I will start bridging my work permit.

Bridging work permit costs $255 CAD??

Lastly, I am seeing no progress for CEC applicants eh!!

Hey everyone,
I applied for my PR application under CEC back in december 2018 and I haven't heard back yet.

I called and emailed, they said my background check is taking long. I am on an implied status, my healthcard and work permit expired and the application is still under process and no one is giving me any information

Is anyone in the same situation as me?

Hi Nawalh22!. I applied back in November 2018 and my BG check is still in process as well. Have you considered applying for the bridging work permit while you wait?

we are in same boat, lets connect often on the PR STatus.
Sounds good! I might call CIC again next week. I'm also awaiting GCMS notes. Although, I ordered them early March and I got the latest status update in April so I feel the notes will be pretty outdated :)

Yes I did in January, it is also on hold, I called last week to check and they said they haven't even gotten to the January applications they are still processing the Bridging WP applications that were submitted in December.

Do you know how long is the processing time for the CEC application? I thought it was for a duration of 6 months
