If you have one year of skilled work experience that is non continuous and part of it was obtained outside Canada (while holding a Canadian Post graduate work permit), can that qualify as "Canadian work experience" under the CEC class?

I am asking as i obtained 6 and a half months of international experience while holding a Canadian pgwp and i have another 7 months on my pgwp in which i can obtain the remaining work experience in Canada. Can this work?

thanks for the link. Appreciate it. A lawyer i spoke to late last year told me i should be able to combine it. I am confused, will see another lawyer tomorrow
All the best. Do post the results here.

Were you deputed outside Canada by the Canadian employer with whom you worked for 7months as you say and then returned to work for them again?
Hi, if I started with the company by working in Canada, went abroad for 4 months but kept working for them remotely, then came back to continue working for it. Will I be able to claim this 4 months towards my CEC?

You can only claim Canadian work experience for experience IN Canada, so no.

No, you won't. You'll need to work an additional 4 months to reach the 1 year of work experience.

Thank you. I actually also called CIC as well, the agent on the phone told me it's fine as long as I am getting paid as usual by the Canadian company.... she said remote work is ok. Different people tell different things. I'm confused.
