Sorry to say but it is probably going to be the case for many people. There are June/July applicants who are still waiting for MR/RPRF/PPR/COPR and they're going on month 20 next week...

I guess no one knows the processing time for pending PR appln before 1st Jan 2015 :(. The immigration officers are working at their own pace and not against a deadline. Unless a hard deadline to finish up the old completed PR applns is established the processing times will keep increasing. Lets hope and pray for the best.
I hope they realize that by delaying the pr processing for current resident applicants they are increasing their workload for Bridging WP and VISA applications.

Guys, did anyone recently email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca and received any reply from them. I sent them one email on January 14 and haven't heard anything.

You told me earlier that it took 30 hours to get reply from them. Its been days after I send them email but haven't got anything. What should I do? Do i need to send them another email?

Check this out.
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pcc-will-not-be-issued-due-to-implied-statusplease-help-t390236.0.html

(Assuming you from India)
Basically you need to email the Indian Consulate explaining your situation. They should reply in a day or two saying you may apply for pcc. you need to submit that letter with the pcc application to BLS.

Thank you rohangk. But the link that you provided talks about a case where the person was in implied status as he applied for visitor VISA. In my case, I cannot apply for WP extension as I'm a intra company transferee and will be completing 5 with the expiration of my current WP. Do you think even with this situation I can email Indian consulate to approve for the PCC?

If I have to get it from India which office (SSP?) I have to get it from? If it's SSP, what's the full form of it?

Some how I feel , its actually a way to generate income indirectly. People who are stuck in Canada waiting for PR's keep applying for Bridging WP its a source of income. Very sad to see June/July applicants still waiting for MR's and PPR....I saw an August 8th Applicant got the PPR....what is the rationale behind it !!! what could be reason is not explained...I could understand from 11 months processing to an increase of 14/15 months but this illogical increase with in days and backed with blunders like sending faulty emails to all for PPR and then sending apology mail states and clearly explains that we are the LEAST important people on VISA processing list. Delay would only generate income and no loss to them........Suddenly one fine morning someone wakes up and presses a random button and random person gets a request kind of......kind of child's play......Canada needs Skilled people....EE is fastest way.....but already identified Skilled and who has worked in Canada and by name itself "CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS" means nothing !!!!!!!!!...possible rather calling CEC some one need to abbreviate the CEC word by word :(.........I was hopeful atleast in new year things move fast and with this I am left with deep depression and pain the way things are moving and outlook in our discussions:(......

I think they realized this. Lets delay processing PR and lets get more applications for BOWP and Visas, so that we will get some more revenue.

Yep, I emailed them on the morning of Jan 13 and they replied in the afternoon on Jan 14.

It depends on what you are emailing them about? If you want just confirmation that they received something it will be up to their discretion as to whether they reply. In my case I had missing information (MR) from them so their reply was necessary.

I emailed them asking to acknowledge that documents are received which I mailed to them.

Maybe extend the date of the address that you moved from until the end of your vacation? I guess it's really up to you and what you feel more comfortable doing. I don't think there is any harm in adding in the vacation in between, all they really want is to know what you were up to over the past year. I don't see an issue with it. Maybe just add "vacation" in brackets beside the address.

yea i think ill do that .

Thanks!

please ,just don't spread rumours for god sake

It's hard for anyone to provide a specific timeline when it comes to when an application will be finalized. Call centre agents don't have a specific answer for that. I think they are saying 21 months to be conservative as they don't want to over promise applicants. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Considering almost all June and July applicants received ready for visa emails, and August applicants are currently receiving MRs in a good speed, maybe we can expect PPR or COPR soon

They've updated the processing time for Express Entry to 15 months. Maybe they're finally going to put them on hold while they clean up the backlog!

If that is true than thats really a good news for us. otherwise tomorrow they can come and say "the time change was a system error" please ignore 15 month time for EE.

Must be a mistake.

If you look at the processing times info for Work Permit Extension (like BOWP), it says they are working on applications submitted on January 21!

That means you might get BOWP approved the same day if you apply now! :D

Anyways, I think they screwed up while updating the "check processing times" tool.
