Isn't having GCMS notes the only way to know that you are on second review? Therefore, he would already have them? Is there another way to know you are on second review? Do they e-mail you to tell you? Or tell you if you call?

They don't tell you anything over the phone , at least they didn't to me when I specifically asked them about second review. I would be ordering my notes soon to see. Sigh, the upfront thing is now becoming a hindrance

It's frustrating that even to order GCMS you have to wait 30 days for them. My bf is a June applicant so at this point I'm not even sure it's worth ordering. He did medicals Feb 2015, got RPRF November 11 and resubmitted new PCC and Schedule A December 2. Since then he's heard nothing. He's from a visa-exempt country so he skips the PPR step so all hes waiting for is ready for visa e-mail/COPR to come in the mail. FRUSTRATINGGGGGGG

1-888-242-2100 (after choosing your language preference, use options 1-1-3-1, you might need to call twice thrice to actually get hold of an agent)

yes the link is correct

apply online - department cic - then fill out your info and choose the act which is free :P (do not pay anything, if you are currently in canada) - fill out your personal info and request for electronic notes.

let me know if you need any further help.

no there is no limit to the number of requests, neither is there a wait period between two different requests.

but i would say wait for at least 15-20 days before applying for a new set, if you really expect to see something different on your gcms. if you request new set within a week or let's say as soon as you get the previously requested one, chances are you will not be getting anything new.

I did an Upfront Medical on 18th Jan 2016 (Monday this week), It would be uploaded to eMedical some time next week. So wanted to get the GCMS notes to confirm the Medicals have been received by CIC. When would be the best time to request for GCMS in your opinion.

it would be best to check by calling after let's say 3 weeks, rather than applying for gcms and waiting for another 30 days.

If you just need to confirm if your medical was received, u can check it on ecas: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en

Or can call a Call Center Agent after 15 -20 days when you did the medicals, as doctors take approx 2 weeks to send results.

You dont need GCMS notes if its only to check medicals
