i am a mid-august applicant and nothing after aor.

i also thought the same and tried to apply for pcc, but apparently, for pcc from back home your current wp must be valid for at least 6 months and mine is expiring in a month :(

i was not able to get one beforehand

Hi, I am from India, i was requested PCC last week, my work permit expired in Nov 2015, i was still able to request PCC. I believe if you apply for extension and are on an implied status, they will issue PCC. If you are from a different country then try to go and consult someone at the consulate / embassy of your home country in canada. For Indians we can go to the consulate here in Toronto and request PCC

Anyone who applied in Aug 2014 and have or have not got MR's, got police clearance certificate request again ?

I'm wondering if I should apply for it now and be ready if that's the case. PCC is valid for 3 or 6 months ?

NoTe: I don't have a spouse yet

I know for India the PCC is valid for 1 year. If you are from a different country then should check online or call the local embassy to ask the validity of PCC.

BLS people are stupid, though I applied from within India, I asked my parents to apply and send it to me. BTW your parents can apply and get on your behalf if you didnt know that. Regarding BLS, if you received a request for PCC by CIC it says to submit in 60 days. The BOWP takes 132 days. If I was you, I will attach the email from CIC, current processing times for BOWP and the application number for BOWP in process and tell them that according to Canadian Government I am on an implied status. Will even argue with a Manager that they must issue PCC. I have an experience with them as I renewed my passport and they were adamant to get my original marriage certificate, I had to argue and finally give them an attested photocopy which was actually sufficient.

Hi apardhamija. Did you include a PCC when you first submitted your CEC application? Or is CIC asking for a second PCC? Your response will be truly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all, we didn't leave Canada during this time ( only 2 weeks for vacations in europe / asia ). My Husband has 2 nationality ( french and swiss ) and when we send our application back in august 2014, we send only the french one. CIC is requesting the swiss one now. They gave us 60 days.

Thanks juju211221. Getting a Swiss PCC is pretty straight forward and the process is fairly quick. I paid a bit extra to have the PCC stamped/notarized. You might need to be an extra 5 CHF, but it might be worth it.

I included a PCC initially when I applied in Aug 2014, they've asked this again this time, interestingly, I never sent my wife's PCC initially and they did not ask her's at all. However Im gonna send PCC for both of us.

I got the PCC while work permit has gone for extension, they will issue it after looking at the letter that you got after submitting Work permit for extension.

i called Call Center just 5 minutes ago, below are the responses i got from the agent :

PR application - the note on my file says, no action can be taken before july 4th (she did not mention the year, even if it's this year i still have 6 more months to go). she also mentioned that the note says rprf was sent in error on monday and there is no need to pay it.

BOWP application (submitted in December 2015) - has not been touched yet. the link that she emailed me for rules is http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/prov/bridging.asp . And she said eligibility is not passed (as file is under review) on my PR application.

:-[ i have no idea what to do now :(
