CEC - August 2014 application

Received application on 1 aug2014
Started processing on oct182014
I didn't heard anything after that other than one standard email which i think most of us get for police clearance as i already submitted it with application.
Then i called them in December and they said we don't have proper processing time but we gonna start processing it in middle of feb2016
Many people got medical request even later than me as i saw on this website.

Just to let U know, my husband called call center today asking abut our application.There was no progress since June when we have done our medicals. Call center Agent said that for CEC 2014 the processing time is 21 months and till April 2016 will not provide any information to us.Agent was asked why we don't see progress in our application but people who send after us their application stars to received medicals and RPRF requests.Our application was complete since the beginning and there was no request for additional documents, and application is clear - no doubts. Agent respond was that he don't know that is lottery.............OMG

I don't think we should read too much into these perverted call center agents remarks/comments .... never are they are in the mood to help save a few rare times.

Hi what date in august did you apply ...and you were on second review ya ?

August 1st.When my husband called in October. was informed that we are on second review but in November when he called agent did not confirmed second review, just said that every things looks good with our documents.

I am the principal applicant and don't have one for me yet, it just came through for him!

This is the first I've heard from CIC since getting AOR in November 2014.

He applied through CEC as well? did u submit application together?
I'm not sure how this principle application works. Hope you will receive ME request soon as well.

I am the principal applicant and he is attached to my application. I do find it odd that I got the email for his medical and not mine but did some research on this forum and found it has happened to people before. If I don't have my MR by tomorrow morning I will call CIC.

So he never applied through other streams I guess? The only application he submitted is the one attached to your CEC application? You received the MR email for him?

Correct, he hasn't applied for anything with CIC apart from being attached to my PR and 2 work permit applications. I have always been principal applicant. The email for his MR came through to my email address too. I confirmed that the application number in the email for his MR matches the application number I got in my AOR back in November 2014.

Donno agony and anguish is creeping every day......
Canadian Experience Class -> Who has already contributed to economy , proved and working as part of Canadian job market...with all documentations kept waiting....on the other hand...Express entry....points to determine a NEW person and they are IN with PR with in 4-6 months!......I am no complaining on Express Entry but why is CEC group so cursed!!!.....are we like criminals??

What is unexplained thing of security / Criminality or ever what ever section taking ages of time!!!!.......Syrian Refuees.....EE......Holidays....alll are only impacting CEC!!!.....This is possibly last batch of people who are in with all documents what is making it so complex!!!!.....Our T4...Taxes....alll prove our contribution to Canadian economy and we are the one who are neglected only due to political reasons!!!!.......
Get good name in International arena get some Syrian refugees.......

If filling the resource gap is main idea , then we already working here and we sat nd the first chance.....This is worst phase of my life....11 months->12->13->14->16->17 months now........June applicants still moving line snail!!!.....monthly intake of EE itself is like 3k-4k , I guess remaining all the CEC would be faaar less than that.....I feel it lack of intent from CIC to push forward on CEC 2014 applicants.....Exceptions are always there , but this is insane Delay killing people's lives....aspirations...Families......Canadian Govt cares !!! and if it really , it should reassess its strategy on the left over applications and make a faster progression!!!.......

Coolcancanada, you exactly pointed out the issue.

CIC is handled by politicians that are using it to get consent from their voters. The Conservatives introduced the Express Entry with the main purpose to reduce the eligibility due to the points requirements. In fact it's quite difficult for professionals that lives abroad to find a company available to sponsor them facing significant costs and uncertainess of the final result. Typically a company that is looking for a professional need him immediately and doesn't want to wait few months with the risk to see the application rejected. If you take a look the number of people that came to Canada through the Express Entry it's ridiculous compared to the number of immigrants that Canada use to receive on yearly bases (approx 250,000/year). The primary intent of the Express Entry introduced by the Conservatives was to create a "politically correct" filter to the immigration. They saved their face claiming that they introduced a faster immigration stream but they were well aware that EE would have resulted in a strict filter.

On the other hand Liberals focused their attention on the siren refugees. I believe that they deserve all attention and respect for what they faced and they need to be prioritized, but on the other hand as CIC is able to process 25,000 refugees in 2-3 months, they should be able to finalize our process right after in the same period of time.

I'm concerned that we're considered as political casualties because our situation is not interesting for any canadian voter (conservative or liberal).

In a nutshell.....we don't move votes.

I still remain confident that our time will come, but all this time is affecting our plans and lives.

P.S. I moved savings from my original country to Canada because I was planning to start my own Company, everything is ready but this delay is preventing me to invest in Canada and generate future jobs.
