Does CIC only see my application(as I'm primary applicant) and give PR first to me and then they will be processing my wife application as she currently in India?
OR
Until they finalize her application and my application they will not be providing PR for both
Also how early we have to report to CIC about marital status change? I'm waiting for police clearance certificate for my wife and thinking to submit all documents at once, is it better to submit without it and submit it later after I receive it
Hi,
Whether or not your wife will accompany you in Canada you are required to inform CIC about her existence. So if you got married after applying PR you need to update CIC about it and send them your updated family form. If you would like to add her to your file( which you should ideally do) you have to send them all relevant documents with your wife's details and pay her FEES and send all supporting documents for her including offcourse ur marriage certificate...
CIC will process ur PR together it may add some more weight time but since they hv not touched ur file for a while you won't suffer much. If she is in ur home country her visa will be processed at the home
Country. You can request for change of visa office for her. I know of a friend who didn't updated CIC about his marriage to avoid the delay in his PR and he is now struggling to bring his wife and kid here. So you may choose to not add her as applicant at this time... But kindly update CIC about ur marriage so that u may bring her later.

CIC asked for my RPRF.
I got my medical requested 4 weeks ago.
As per the website, CIC August 12, 2014, and started processing my application November 10, 2014.
After all this wait our applications are back on track, shortly all this stress and frustration will become history for all of us.

Just checked processing time in CIC website and the processing time CHANGED TO 17 MONTHS![]()
msingh199 said:Seem like the new processing time is calculated from july 2014 applicants. As per this thread july applicants are getting their files processed this month which is 17 month.I do not see any decision made on Aug 2014 applicants which may be end of next month and then they will again change the time to 18 month and Sept applicant may hear something in march and then cic again will update the time to 19 month and finally OCT 2014 applicant may hear something in aprill and for them time could be 20 month if in actuall cic started working on backlog.
What is your thoughts ??

I am an August 2014 applicant. I got married a couple of months ago to a Canadian Citizen.
Please suggest if I should notify CIC about change in my marital status? Would this affect the application negatively or positively and what about the processing time?
Thank you.
