Congrats Shah,

Looks like your are one of the genuine persons here. I think its time for medicals everybody. :)

Thanks

Congrats to those who got the MR..

I WAS WONDERING, WHY PEOPLE WHO HAVE GOT MR have only 1'st post or 2'nd post, why can't we see any old forum homies getting MR?

shah31 looks new with 2 posts under his belt, but he registered in April 2015 and his first post was the regular "still no MR" whining. :D Looks pretty genuine to me.

is it possible that they are giving us an update - important information - rather than the bunch of useless posts that are just complaining and we all know we can do nothing other than waiting our application turns.

I much appreciate such posts that are useful and give positive feedback that CIC is back to looking in the CEC application.

It would be great if all members use this forum efficiently and limit there posts to update, a question they have, and advice to give.

cheers,

Agree, but the post must be at least true, because we have seen one psychopath posting MR every other day, would you still happy with that? if you want to be happy with fictitious stories, then anyone can say anything

ok zareef, will wait for other request :(

Some people just post MR received which actually gives hope to others.. If the information is genuine, its good for us.. Else people shouldnt be spreading false / fake news..

If you don't believe it, then keep it to yourself!
Spreading assumptions about people you don't know is not only rude, but it also ruins the mood that other non-cynical people might get from reading posts from people who got MRs.

So please, doubt everybody you like, but don't share it here.

Hi Friends,

I wanna go to 10 day long trip to CUBA at the end of december, currently I am on my BOWP which is valid till OCtober 2016, I have no TRV and nor I am planning to apply for it. I have 10 year USA multiple purpose visa though, Is it possible I go to Cuba than return to Canada via USA by road? Is there any problem with this plan ?

Thanks!

BOWP is a legal document. No problem with re-entering. I also went to vacation in NYC (JFK airport), no problem. It says that the permit does not guarantee re-entry though. So if you are not from a visa-exempt country like me, it might be different. But I don't see any issues to be honest. Obviously, you are given the right to live and work in Canada for the duration of your permit.

I am not from visa exempt country, So I guess I'm going to be treated differently, this is what I wanna make sure

Hi Harry7171,

Apply for your TRV online, send ur extended work permit. They will not allow you to enter canada no matter if you are coming from USA.

The work permit you have is good to keep working in Canada, once you cross the border, you need TRV to enter even if you have a valid work permit.

Dont ever put your step out of Canada without a valid TRV to come back.

Take a look at your work permit:

At the end there is a Line in BOLD: "THIS DOES NOT AUTHORIZE RE-ENTRY" Hence you need TRV to re-enter Canada.
