Ohk thnx n lets hope for direct PPR...

But for PPR, you have to wait until CIC is done working on all components of your file - eligibility, criminality and security. MR is generally sent after eligibility is complete.

But isn't eligibility the last component?

I'm not aware of any particular order. If eligibility is complete while security is outstanding, you won't get PPR until all components are set to 'passed'.

I was also told that medical only comes following eligibility. They always do that first as this defines the whole application. There would be no point to do the other elements - then discover something in your application means your not eligible for the particular class/stream.

How can eligibility even remotely be the last component? You have to be assessed against the eligibility criteria initially and then proceed with everything else. Medicals, Background & Security checks, DM & PPR all come after that.

I meant only after security and criminality since they're the ones that get put in process in the gcms notes even before they start with eligibility.

Well, IMO, no. Why would they go through all the pain of checking PCC and meds without even determining if the applicant is eligible or not? I don't think that's how it works. They check you are eligible - If no, they reject you right away. If yes, they proceed with Meds and BG.

On another topic, does anyone know how the Copr comes, is it by email or post? (I am living outside Canada)

Good morning Every one,

here came the sunshine at the end of 16 month tunnel, and we are seeing some actions in August applications. Thank God.

Can any one tell me how long would it for CIC to ask for passport after the Fee is received??

Thanks

Are you certain that your eligibility is passed when you get your MR...? I got mine last June (October Applicant) but I have to renew my BOWP, and apparently you need your eligibility to be passed to do so... I asked my GCSM notes but won't have them before next month

as per one of the CIC representatives at call center - the eligibility for CEC applicants prior than Jan 1, 2015 is the AOR. that means an applicant met all requirements to qualify to apply for CEC. one AOR is issues that mean the eligibility has passed.

Again this is a per the representatives at call center, I hope he understood me well and his answer is right.
