Need help....
I am CEC candidate. I got ITA on 1st May 2020. I started working as full time on 21st April 2019 and my job is still continuous. However, I took unpaid vacation of 6 week’s during this period. I also sat down at home for 1 month due to Covid 19. So total time duration of absence at work is 2.5 months.
Now I have following questions?
Should I accept ITA and start the process?
Shoul I wait till 2.5 months to cover up my 1 year full time work experience because IRCC now allows everyone 90 days to submit his application?
Prompt respond will be thankful......

If anyone trying for PCC who didn't start via BLS consider sending directly to Indian Consulate via Canada post(92$). I send the docs to the consulate directly on April 22 and Got back my PCC by April 28.

Note: I am not sure about the current condition of the consulate whether they are taking applications like this or not. But I got PCC as the timeline i mentioned above. Please verify it with others also.

I went to Indian Consulate on April 22 without knowing the consulate is closed. But fortunately, I found some people who are in my situation on the ground floor of the same building. Those people told me there is another option by sending via Canadapost. There is a convenience store below the Indian consulate near to no-frills I remember( provided Gmap link below). Either you can bring all the documents( Copies) as per Indian consulate directions(provided below) or you can bring all originals there and take copies from the convenience store. If you take copies from them they will guide you because they are getting paid. If you have all the documents ready to send, tell the convenience store people, you need to send PCC to Indian consulate, They gonna give a money draft(92$), 2 Envelopes ( 1 to send to the consulate and others to send back PCC to you). Fill the details like from and to in the envelope you are sending. Put all the documents in the bigger envelope, including money draft and 2nd envelope. Finally, they gonna give 2 tracking numbers. Using 1st tracking number you will know whether docs reached there and 2nd tracking number will be active when they send back PCC to you. For me, the envelope reached consulate the next day I send and got back PCC in a week.

Documents Required ( Only Copies Required)

I. Requirements to submit an application at the Consulate General of India, Toronto:

  • -Fill in the application form-https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/.
  • -Original passport of the applicant.
  • -Current Indian passport with a copy of legal status in Canada ( PR Card/Work Permit/Student Permit/ Visitor Record etc.) or Canadian passport in original and photocopy.
  • Note: For PR card issued without the category on the back, please submit the original and photocopy of the PR card and landing paper.
  • -A copy of the first and last page of the current passport.
  • -A copy of the landing paper.
  • -A copy of proof of address (copy of the driving license or any other government-issued address proof).
  • A fee of C$92/- can be paid through debit card/bank draft/money order (drawn in favor of " Consulate General of India")

Need help! I just created my express entry profile an hour back. My 15 points for Canadian education are missing. Showing 0 points! I had specifically answered NO to these questions related to Canadian education. In spite of that, I am still getting Zero points. My score is at 450 but it should be 465(including 15 points for Canadian education)

1 - Was this degree, diploma or certificate:
from a public post-secondary school, such as a college, trade/technical school, university or CEGEP (in Quebec)
from a private post-secondary school that operates under the same rules as public schools
a diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) or an attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP) earned through a qualifying study program of at least 900 hours from a private school in Quebec, or
a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree from a Canadian private school that can legally award degrees under provincial law. (The student must have been enrolled in a study program that led to a degree as set out by the province.)

Answer NO

2 - Was more than half the study program English or French as a second language courses? Answer NO

3 - Did XXX study in Canada based on an award that required them to go back to their home country to apply their knowledge and skills? This includes some awards from Global Affairs Canada. Answer NO

First question's answer would be YES.
And then after it will ask for the Dli number of the college. Do correct it.

Thankyou for your prompt response. I answerd No since it asks for Private colleges and CEGEP (in Quebec). I studied in public college. Got confused in this.

No it was not paid. But still I have not accepted invitation because I am waiting for some valid answer. What about if I wait till 2.5 months which I have not worked and submit documents after this waiting period?

You should be fine if you wait to cover the lapsed period and submit the eAPR once you have full one year.

If I haven't lived in India for more than 6 months in a row in last ten years, but still an Indian citizen, do I still need Indian PCC? I left India 10 years ago to the US and lived there for 6 years and 4 years now in Canada. Do I need Indian PCC?

Hi, i have received my ITA. In the application I didn’t add my job in bangladesh in work history where I resigned 8 years ago. But its coming into my personal history section. Do I have to add it in work history as well? For sure it will add some extra hassle of collecting reference letter but if needed should collect the documents. Looking for your suggestions. Thanks
