mine is the background check as well! I called IRCC yesterday they said only outstanding item is security check!

Did the IRCC agent tell you extra info from your application that is not visible/updated in your online application profile?
My last update was medical exams passed in February 24 and I was thinking about calling them to ask for info, but if they are just going to say the same stuff I can see in the application profile I might as well just don't even bother

I never managed to get to an IRCC agent during the pandamic, I called few times but no luck. I did however got response to my webforms that I sent them, always with the same generic response, and they didn't even responded to my latest webform sent last week...

Yeah I managed to talk to an agent yesterday but he didn't have any info aside from what I could check on my application profile... so not really helpful at all.

An agent on the phone managed to tell me more info than my profile showed, such as eligibility had passed, background passed etc. Basically everything is ready for a decision but biometrics holding it up. Maybe it depends on the agent you get.

GCMS requested on Aug 27,2020 and received GCMS notes on Sep 15,2020 (Notes dated Aug 31, 2020)
Assessment : Eligibility - recommended pass , Security - not started , criminality - in progress
Spoke to agent on Sep 16, 2020: No change in my assessment.

did you get any further update? to be honest with you I stopped watching the status on a daily basis anymore, it is very mentally exhausting..

I hear you man, but I can't help myself but check it everyday because anxiety is a b****.
Yesterday I gave them another call and asked to check my application status. The agent said I had everything as "passed" and I was just missing the biometrics (but still no updates in the website). And I finally got the call this morning to schedule an appointment to collect my fingerprints!

WAW, this is great news. seems it is moving in the right direction. it gives me a sense of comfort when i see others gaining progress, i foolishly think I will be next hope it all work out well for you..

Yesterday I was complaining to a friend about how I didn't get the call yet lol. We're good man, you should get your call soon hopefully

I've never done it, but looks like it's about $5 and it can take from 30 to 60 days
