No update since then.I hoped to get something until now but no luck yet. Now I have to go back to home country next week for my wedding.Does anyone have any idea what happens if you get portal email while you are not present in Canada?

Reply them with reason why you are not present in Canada. You will get a reply saying let IRCC know when you are back in Canada so they can proceed further. Congrats on wedding.
