Hello There,

If I will take a vacation for 5 months in 2026 to India to complete my foreign work experience of 7 months in 2023, so that I can claim points for 1 full year, while also exploring apartments for sale in Batroun, here on my ongoing job of 1.5 years what dates should I mention for start and end dates so that it won’t be any conflict of misinterpretation of work.
You should list your ongoing job’s actual start and end dates without including your foreign work or future vacation. For your 5-month vacation in 2026, mark it as leave from your current job but do not change employment dates. Report only the real work periods. Your foreign work experience in 2023 should be listed separately with its actual start and end dates. This way there is no overlap or misinterpretation.

So to avoid overlap of work experience should I enter end date on my Canadian on going experience? If yes then do i have to collect 2 experience letters from same employer before and after vacation as my employment is still ongoing I haven’t resigned.

And if I don’t write end date for my Canadian experience yhen where can I mention my travel vacation history so that IRCC will know that I will not claim points for 5 months of vacation.

One more thing if I work in india for 5 months will it be okay to foreign experience as i already have 7 months of foreign experience
