Hello guys,

I passed the test and had an interview with the cic officer on Feb 8th 2014 in Mississauga. During the interview, the officer pointed out several same day return trips (go and come back in the same day) to US by bus and some of international trips (by air) as some of return/exit stamps were missing. He finally required me to submit evidence for my residence in Canada (He gave me CIT0520 sheet- request for documentary evidence of residence in Canada) and told me that he will contact CBSA for exit/entry history. On Feb 10th 2014, I sent a copy of my boarding passes (I collected most of my boarding passes) but not for the same day return trips to US as I took a bus provided by travel agency.

It has been 8 weeks since I took the test and I don't hear anything back from them. I heard that requesting CBSA for entry history takes about a month.

Have anyone had similar experiences? Any advice/opinion would be appreciated.

You can request your CBSA report and CBP (US) report. That way you will be able to prove when you left Canada and re-entered in case needed.

I am in same situation but I haven't not received RQ yet (I am expecting one). In my case (Scarborough office) asked me the consent to get the CBSA records after 2 Months of test. In my case, I missed even declaring one of my US trips in the Citizenship app.

Generally Missi. office is pretty quick, since you did not hear back since 8 weeks, you might be getting Oath request soon.

I had my test in Mississauga too on feb. 6, was not asked to submit anything, my stamps did match and all.
On that day it was anounced before the test that they were not going to give out oath invites on the spot as they normally do there.
It's almost 2 months later and still waiting to hear from them.

Same thing here. After the test the weekly trips to USA created a problem. I showed the CBSA report to CO but she said that she can't decide its for the CJ to decide. An RQ was given to me. I submitted the RQ with CBSA report and other documents back in June/2012. Nothing since then. Office is Mississauga.

You should request an ATIP report to get status info on your file...

Have you ever called CIC? How long did it take to get a CBSA report?

If required...the CIC will contact you to get consent and will get it directly from the CBSA.

I have requested many ATIP since that happened. Nothing new just waiting. Call center told me that It will take as much as 48 months to get the oath letter. No one can do anything about it just wait and wait >:( >:( >:( :'(

Did anyone get any update? I am still waiting for an oath. Should I call CIC? I wonder if they have received my residency proof.

I had test in Jan this year followed by RQ. Still no luck with Oath. Not sure how much time it is going to take. See my timeline in signature

Did they send you a mail to submit RQ? Have you called CIC after you have passed the test?
