How long does it take to receive PR cards after landing? I land at my friends place and use their address for the PR card. They can send it to my US address since I won't be moving in the winter (freezing there).

Finally, passport request and ready for visa! It took a total of 21 months from the receipt of application. Look forward to a new life in Canada. Wish everyone here good luck!

Your message gives me great hope, my application was submitted/received 20 months ago (April 2013) and I'm still waiting for PPR!

Would greatly appreciate if you can clarify what date did your ecas went in process? My ecas went in process July 3, 2014.

Would like to confirm the following:

You are an outland QSW applicant, correct?
It seems your ECAS went in process back in Feb of 2014, correct? If so, you stayed a total of 10 months "In Process".
When did your ECAS status change to DM?
Are you applying by yourself or does your application include a wife and kids?

Yes, my status went in process in February 2014. Can't remember the exact date. It went to DM last Friday and I also got an email from CIC, requesting for my passport. And yes, I am an Outland QSW applicant.

I suggest you to write to CIC and inquire about your current status. I wrote to them about a couple of weeks ago. It seems that my inquiry made a difference.

The admin that has my case with Campbell Cohen has suggested that we wait until January 2015 to reach out to them since their last communication took place in July when CIC requested me to submit the FBI Clearances.

I am very hopeful and excited of your news and will no doubt reach out to CIC very soon. Did you send a letter by courier to inquire or did you send CIC an email?

They replied the next day. Just said that be patient. Then magically, two weeks later I got the passport request.
