Case Processing Centre – Mississauga LOST MY APPLICATION

So my Lawyer send the application to the below address by canada post registered mail which was showed received by Dec 29 2011.

I called in to Immigration and they could not find my file, so they did a trace and they said they don't know where my application.

They gave me two options which is too wait Two weeks, or send a photo copy of my application.


What I am going to do is send in a photo copy of everything with (with new signatures, which they metioned), and will send in a Nortized copy of the Medical Check and Police Certificates. ( My wife will still order news ones, sure they wil ask).

Has anybody been through what I have?

Hi Asurana I would suggest that you get the tracking number from your lawyer, and then request a proof of delivery from the courier or Canada Post (which ever sent it). Once you have that you can provide that to CHC Miss and they will then have to do a 'better' search. I would also suggest that prehaps your information is not yet entered into the system (never know it could be this way) so they wouldn't know who possibly has your file if they haven't entered anything into their system.

The POD is really the way to go as you will then have evidence of the delivery.

I called canada post and they faxed the lawyer the proof delivery, and all the info they had.

My lawyer does not seem to concerned, he says this happens all the time and to wait two more week. But i think the best thing is to get a another file ready shipped.

Seems Immigration will process mine urgently as long as i povide explanition with proof of delivery.

Immigration already has the tracking number.

Do you have a copy of the proof of delivery? There have been people on here whose lawyers told them they sent it such and such a date, however it was actually couriered a week or so later. I would get a copy for your own peice of mind. You should also be able to pull it off yourself from their site. The CIC website says they are currently processing applications received up until January 13th. You should have a sponsorship answer by now.

Yea i got a copy and tracking number.
I called in gave it to Canadian Immigration.

Yea...I pretty much have my packaged ready to be remailed including photos. Wating for signatures from new set of forms, option c-print out and another copy of immigration photos

Do you think Canadian Immigration will accept a nortized copy of police clearance and medical check... They said just send in a photocopy with a note.

Of course Wife will order originals again cuz i would expect once file gets transferred to New Delhi Visa office they would ask for originals then, by then she would be receiving another copy. (takes 6 weeks to get police certificate)

Ya I think that is a great idea. As soon as you have a case processing number (once it is in progress in ND) you will be identify it and send it in. Good Luck, I am really sorry this happened to you.
