Well.. I received on my portal that my case is ineligible due to bill C-12.

To others in the same shoes as me, do you know what now? Do we get sent to the PRRA stream? Does anyone know the processing time for that?
Or how that process even works for someone who’s country is on the ADR?

it depends when you applied and how long you waited before claiming refugee . share your timeline

Background check passed: January 2026

Please, consult your lawyer immediately to know the next step to take. However, hope is not lost though it will now involve much of documentation at the pre-removal risk assessment stage. You got gather alot evidences to support your asylum claim now. All the best!

Claim made more than 1 year after first entry to Canada OR irregular entry + delay in claiming. There s a way talk to ur lawyer even lawyers are still figuring out how it will be applied in practice over the next few months.

If your country is on ADR list, then most likely you will not be offered PRRA as you are subject to unenforceable removal order. Unfortunately, this kind of situation is not solved by bill C12. I would work with lawyer who may suggest H and C.

The date mentioned on the letter is it the date you applied in the portal or the date mentioned in the AOC
