I have a one year visitor record and travel at least every 6 months to the states. I am from New York state and have car insurance coverage for Canada. I was told I had to get a Quebec license and import the car, but I saw that if you leave at least every 6 months, you do not need to. Anyone out there that can direct me to clear laws? I am not a temporary resident, but a visitor. I am hoping to get my visitor record status renewed.

That is right - you don't need to import the car if you are going back and forth. First time officer stops you, they will give you a warning. Second time, if you can't prove by showing stamps or records of entry / exit then you get fined.

I guess you are enjoying not paying any parking penalties either? ;)
