Hello friends,
I entered Canada on 8th Aug month to complete my landing process with COPR. The cbsa officer asked me to declare the car in the import list and pay a fee of around CAD 300. When I said I do not want to import the car, he said then the car can’t enter Canada. I thought I will just put it in the import list but won’t import it literally, because I do not have a plan to move to Canada soon. I left Canada on 11th Aug driving my car outside Canada, entering USA. But 2 weeks ago, I received an email saying your car is due inspection in canada and you need to do it otherwise it will be illegal to keep the car in Canada. I replied to that email saying the car is not in Canada. Then they asked for one of the following documents:
Please help me if you or anybody in your contact list has faced similar issue or know the answer. Really appreciate all the help.
Regards,
Sanjeev

I replied to that email saying the car is not in Canada. Then they asked for one of the following documents:
- E15 CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION/EXPORTATION obtained at Canadian Border Services Agency [CBSA] upon exit of the vehicle from Canada at a Canadian port of entry
- CBP FORM 7501 U.S. ENTRY SUMMARY obtained at U.S. Customs and Border Protection upon entry of the vehicle into the U.S. at the U.S. port of entry
- BILL OF LADING a document issued by a carrier which details a shipment of merchandise and gives title and requires a carrier to deliver the merchandise to the appropriate party
- If the vehicle has already been exported, we may accept a notarized statement from the importer of record confirming the vehicle has been exported - the document must be specific to the date of export and contain the vehicle identification number of the vehicle [VIN].
Please help me if you or anybody in your contact list has faced similar issue or know the answer. Really appreciate all the help.
