Hi, I have been working on PR application under spousal and common law.
I have a question regarding Notice Of Assessment and really need help.
My husband(Canadian) was in abroad past 2 years and the most current NOA he has is 2016. Could we submit it with explanation letter stating that he wasn't in Canada in 2017?
Another question is that he had some rental income from his property while he was away. (His parents own some property and one of them is on his name) But didn't file tax because it wasn't much money so he didn't have to do it. The problem is that he has lost his 2016 tax retuen form so he can't creat CRA account and even call them to get Option C. ( They required to have 2017/2016 tax return form)
What can we do for this?
Could I just submit NOA of 2016 with explanation letter stating he was away in 2017 or do we have to get 2017?
