Cannot link trv application to online account. And donot receive any email regar

Hello everyone here. I am new here.
My father applied for trv at Chandigarh office on July 4,2016.
He had put my email id on application form and his cellphone number.
He received 2 text messages saying application has been forwarded to consulate chandigarh.
No Text message after that.
Not even single mail regarding application status.

I checked status on vfs website with tracking id,it is showing that application is under process at chandigarh office.

I am trying to link paper application to cic account,but it is showing no result.

We have Tracking ID and Reference number, both as mentioned on receipt he received at center after applying.

What is Application number and UCI? Where can i find these,so that i can try linking with these numbers?

I also tried linking but I couldn't succeed linking the TRV paper application to my GCKey account. Can somebody help on any tips?

I think you also need your passport info to link it. I tried but because I don't have passport with me I couldn't do it
