hello everyone,

Unfortunately, my spouse and I are separated. My spouse already received her working permit that is valid until 2021.

I was thinking to cancel the application and i want her to stay in Canada to be able to work before she will go back to her country. Our PR application is almost completed but not finalized yet. Will she still be able to work in Canada with her current work permit visa and stay for a little while in Canada?

Thanks!

You must update IRCC about your change in marital status. What kind of work permit does she have and have you landed in Canada?

Hello,

I will update IRCC about our status, thanks for the reminder!

I believe it’s a open work permit (case type #27) and we completed the PR application while both of us are in Canada. Both her and I are still in Canada.

Basically, IRCC is ready to issue the CoPR since and we have till mid july to finalize it.

Hope this is clear.
Thanks again

Hello again,

Just to be clear, it should be read “common-law” spouse from the beginning of this thread rather than “spouse”. We are not married.

Sorry for the confusion that may create.

The work permit will remain valid.

I have a final question: if she have to go back visiting temporarily her parents, can she re-enter in Canada?

On the bottom of the OWP, it states “*** THIS DOES NOT AUTHORIZE TO RE-ENTTRY/[...]***”

Thanks!
Only if she has a visa or eTA as well as a work permit.

Hi am Jamie. Recently my PR application was cancelled. I got a letter stating that my IELTS result got expired upon reviewing my application. Although I have tried to make my case with IRCC that my provincial norminee application took so long, and upon submmision of my PR application on my EE profile, It hadn’t expired. But I was advised by them to retake a new IELTS and open a new EE profile and upload it within 60days,failure to do so,the IRCC will permanently delete my previous data and refund the fees that I paid.. I want to know if after I have re-open a new EE profile, will all my previous documents be transferred back to the new profile or I will have to resend or re-upload documents all over again? Pls I need aclarification on this matter.. pls help. Thanks.

then you should take your IELTS test again. Rules are clear, your language test should be valid for the day of ITA and also for the day of AOR.

You may have to re-upload documents, but that's an easy thing to do. Why are you worried about that?

Take the IELTS first.
