I think the OP is looking to get an H1B stamped in Canada using a Canadian OWP to enter.Sorry, still don't understand the question. When you enter with an open work permit you have status in Canada until the expiry of your permit and you can work in any occupation (with few exceptions). What about 'visa stamp' are you asking about?
H1B is a U.S. work permit.Thank you, Scylla - although I still have no idea what that means - something of significance in US immigration?
Not flagpoing. So . . . OP is asking if he can enter Canada and get his US HB1 visa stamp in that process? Or is this a tortured description of flagpoling?
Given the recent H1B announcements in the U.S., I'm not comfortable commenting. It's gotten too complex for me.Scylla got it correct. I am just worried if they can deny my H1 on the fact that I am on Canadain sowp?
