Hi Everyone - I’m currently in US working on H1-B and have Canadian PR. I wanted to see if anyone has been able to maintain H1-B while staying in Canada?
I’ve heard people travel from Windsor to Detroit on a daily basis to maintain both H1-B and PR status.
Questions:
1. If one travels from Canada to US by road/air, the entry/exit stamps will be updated on travel history. Will that be an issue while H1-B extension?
2. Do we have to commute daily to US to maintain H1-B or can we maintain by traveling say once or twice a week?
3. If I take permanent remote H1-B position and stay close to US Canada border (say Buffalo and Toronto) and travel once in a week or so, can I maintain H1-B? Will there be an issue at the US border during entry (considering I’ll travel few days a week not every day)?
