Canadian PR been out of Canada for over 3 yrs due to pandemic lockdowns

ands that is how can I fing out if my PR card is still valid? pls

You have not yet checked the expiry date printed on your PR card since it was first mentioned to you 4 days ago?

Your card has an expiry date on it, have a look at it. You are correct in what you mentioned above, that a PRTD is required if your card is expired.

Usually yes, but some are only valid for 1 year.

Yes, you need it to board an airplane.

The valid PR Card will get you onto the plane, but that's only 50% of your journey. Being assessed (and possibly questioned at length by CBSA if they discover/determine that you had not met the R.O.) is the other 50%.

If you use a PIK (Kiosk) at the airport it may help, since you then only see an officer when handing them the receipt from the machine. But...maybe it's possible that the PIK `does the math' before printing the receipt that flags the officer?
