If yes. Please how do I get the Police certificate?

No - you don't need a Canadian police certificate.

Thanks. Am on a visitor visa but about to apply for spousal sponsorship. One of the requirements is police certificates from countries I have lived in over 6 months. I figure I might need one for Canada aswell. I got my fingerprints done with the police just incase I need Canadian police clearance certificate

So CIC will do your police check internally. :) you won't need to get one done.

Hi,

Just out of curiosity, what would it have changed if Comflakes' status was different, meaning on a work or study permit?

I ask because, at the time our application was sent in, my boyfriend had been living in Canada for over a year on two different Working Holiday Visas and is now about to get about to get his 3rd permit but this time a closed work permit (under skilled workers) and he did not get a police clearance certificate from the RCMP because we didn't think we needed one for here since most people say that the CIC will ask for it if needed.
