So I'm helping my wife put together her PR application - Spousal Class.
I heard from a few people that it would be proactive of us to obtain a police certificate prior to the IRCC requesting for one.
I had booked fingerprinting service from a federally licensed agency.

However, as we actually got started on our application we noticed that our checklist specifically states
"Police certificates are not required for Canada at this time. IRCC will make a request for (a) Canada police certificate(s) on your behalf"
My question is, since we have already booked the finger printing service should we go ahead and obtain my wife's Canadian police certificate anyway?
Or would it be detrimental to her application if we submit the Canadian police certificate without the IRCC requesting for it?
