The Ministerial Instructions on the CIC website indicate that for applicants to get the additional points given for having Canadian education for eligible degree, there are three conditions to be met.
- Study full time for at least 8 months,
- studied in Canada at a Canadian
- physically present in Canada for 8 months

In my case, due to covid delays in visa issuance and difficulty to travel, I was physically presented for 2 semesters only (which are both 4 months long each theoretically) however since I arrived mid semester and my summer semester finished a bit earlier, my total duration studying in Canada is around 5~6 months. My question is to whether I can claim additional points for Canadian education or will that put my application at risk of refusal? Bearing in mind that my program is typically intended to be in person and only shifted online due to covid.
