Hello,
The express entry education section asks the following question for students who were awarded a Canadian degree:
Did [NAME] study in Canada based on an award that required them to go back to their home country to apply their knowledge and skills? This includes some awards from Global Affairs Canada.
In my case, I was initially funded by my then employer for my entire master's degree. I also had a job offer from this company upon my return. However, in my second term, I was able to gain funding from my advisor/department and switched programs (same field, just a thesis-based program rather than a course-based one). I did not give the money back to my employer because I am a shareholder and it's a family run business. I am now pursuing a PhD.
Based on this, do I need to tick yes or no to this question?
