wow...that was very efficient. Done in a year. Great !

Do you think it is was quick because you did not travel at all ? or because of your country of origin or having no US visa or US related work in your application ? Or you hold a Canadian job and have not traveled much ? Did you apply under Family category ?

Just wondered on why it was so quick...so asking...hope you did not mind.

Thanks for your response.

I get PRC in 2008, never been in Canada before. Yes, I didn't travel at all except I've been in my homeland once [Europe] couple weeks that's all. I applied myself because my wife is Canadian citizen and sponsored me for PRCard.
Regarding all the circumstances to get Citizenship quicker I think you have to have luck on your side, we never know how matters go and how long it takes. I send my application as fast as I could (week after required residence time), not traveled much and I've never been in States in that period however I was there couple times before my settlement in Canada.

Hope you get oath letter soon. :)

I got letter of oath today for Oath ceremony on Wednesday July 25th 2012 at 9:00 AM.

My timeline is as follows.
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 11, 2011.
We sent you a letter acknowledging on July 11, 2011.
We started processing your application on February 9, 2012.
We sent you a notice on March 14, 2012 to appear and write the citizenship test on April 2, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
We sent you a notice on July 16, 2012 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on July 25, 2012 at 9:00 AM.
My husband and my son are already canadian citizens.
I only travelled to back home for 1 time for one and a half months visit and never travelled to USA.
My interview with CIC officer before the test is also very short for about 5 minutes.
I hope that helps every one.

GooD Luck

Congratulations Jaroddz! I am very happy for you. Still waiting here in the north for my oath letter. This is very frustrating for me. It will soon be 6 years since I first entered Canada and it took all this time to become a citizen? I wish I knew what the hold up was.
