My friend is going to sponsor his spouse from overseas. He understands that he can apply to sponsor his wife while he is living abroad if he is a Canadian citizen and can prove that he is willing to return back to Canada as soon as his spouse get the PR. Now he is passed the citizenship test, submitted the QA and he is waiting for the citizenship ceremony. He has two options:
1) apply to sponsor his spouse while he is a PR then updates his status later on the sponsorship application after he gets the citizenship.
2) wait to get the citizenship then apply to sponsor his spouse while he is a Canadian citizen.
He is still looking for advice. Does it make any difference? Any recommendation?
