I brought up the same issue in a different thread but did not receive any responses. I'm looking for advise from folks who are or have been in my situation.

Situation:

My partner and I married outside of Canada and currently reside in Canada on work permit. I applied for PR in August 2024 and received my eCoPR earlier this week, while my non-accompanying spouse is still on work permit. Our child was born after I submitted my PR application, and I notified IRCC via webform a few days after. In addition, when I received my first portal email (Portal 1 / P1), I listed my spouse and our child as Non-accompanying Dependant Child (born in Canada).

In my eCoPR, I see that my spouse is listed as Non-accompanying under 'DEPENDANT(S) INFORMATION', which is accurate. However, our child is not included/listed in my eCoPR.

So, is it okay if my child is not added as a dependant? I realize that my child is a Canadian citizen by birth, but I'm a little confused. Could someone who has been in a similar situation clarify my doubt?

Thanks for any help!

Your child is canadian born so doesnt need to be mentioned in ecopr. Same situation for me as well.

Thank you very much for your response. I verified this with another applicant who had a very similar situation. It's a huge relief!
