Hi there, My 17 year old niece came to visit me and her cousins in England now she's going back to her home country which is Vancouver BC she was born there and obviously has a Canadian passport. I was wondering if she needs a parent consent letter to return back? Which I totally doubt since she was born there and that's where she lives! But please let me know thank you so much!

She's an unaccompanied child (<18). She needs parental approval.

Ok you have me mystified. What was she required to show to leave Canada and enter England? Here is a link regarding letters. https://travel.gc.ca/travelling/children/consent-letter
If I was the officer at Border Services I would be wondering what a 17 (or 18?) year old was doing on a four month visit in the middle of the school year.

She did not take a consent letter when she went to England! That's why I'm wondering because the customs did not ask or say anything to her when she came here! But I also feel that in Canada the customs shouldn't say anything since it's her home country and she has the right to enter and she's a citzen of Canada! I'm worried for she's just a bit nervous!

Your last posts indicated that you were 18 and travelling alone, not your 17 year old niece.

Maybe, maybe call border services and ASK THEM. That or stop trying to pull some kind of scam or whatever this is.
