I have a housing loan in India and I am paying the EMI. How does this impact or benefit me while filing tax here in Canada?
I am a recent PR.
Please provide inputs and links where I can get more information on this.

Thanks in advance! This forum is awesome which helped me in the most difficult situations during the PR process.

If the property is rented, you need to pay tax on the rent received. However, the interest being paid on the loan can be deducted from the rental income.
