Hi Folks,

I came to Canada in Jan 2018 and Feb 2020 I got the PR staus. Now if I leave Canada to my Home country for some time then

Is my duration considered from Jan 2018 to Feb 2020 towards 730 days clause?
OR
half the WP duration maximum upto 1 year is considered towards 730 days?

Duration if from Feb 2020 forward.

You are confusing the residency requirements for maintaining PR and for qualifying for citizenship.

For maintaining PR, you can only count the time after you became a PR - so from Feb 2020

Thanks @scylla

So it seems like if I stay for 730 days in Canada
WP stay days - 365days (half of WP days 2018 - 2020)

I'd be eligible for citizenship at the end of 730 days mark. Given that current rule stays regarding citizenship.

No - that is not how it works. Citizenship eligibily is not 730 days. The 730 days is required to maintain PR. You need three years for citizenship. Again, you're getting the rules between the PR residency requirement and citizenship confused.

For citizenship 1/2 of the WP duration is considered and maximum up to 1 year (which in my case 2 year / half = 1 year).
So considering 365 + 730 = 1095, Correct?
or
does it need to be 3 years after PR?
